Commuting Time Extended

If you thought your drive to work is bad now, give it another 10 years and the time will be extended 46% more. According to Cambridgeshire Local Transport Plan, congestion will get worse.

With more homes being built and population increasing, the roads will be stressed and the best and most inexpensive answer is to move people out of their lone occupancy cars to cycling, walking, bus or car sharing. The current economic situation means road expansions and the A14 upgrade will have to wait. Cambridge has only so much space for roads, so the only thing that can change is our travel behaviour.
