More Average Speed Cameras

 

Currently, there are only average speed cameras on the A14 between Girton and Huntingdon. Now this will be extended to Fen Ditton and it will be implemented in the new year.

The average speed cameras have already saved £4.3 million in annual road works and emergency services. It prevents accidents, reduce deaths and serious injuries. From July 2004 to December 2006 saw 40 deaths and 342 casualties. With the implementation of the average speed cameras on the A14, there was a decrease in accidents with 13 deaths and 215 casualties.

These cameras prevent accidents and remind drivers to drive more responsibly.
