My Free Bus Tickets

Last week, I decided to use my free bus tickets to go into Cambridge for some shopping. I usually hate going into Cambridge on Saturdays because parking is a nightmare and there are too many people in town for my sanity.
However, I put on my coat and comfy shoes and made my way out to town. I was running a bit late and I saw the bus passing the bus stop, but I ran and flagged him down and he graciously stopped and picked me up. It only took 20 minutes to get into town and I didn't have to worry about traffic, parking and people crossing the street!

I got into town and went straight for the shops to spend spend spend, as I just saved £7 in petrol and parking fees. Afterwards, I needed to go to the supermarket, so I just hopped on the bus and it got me to Tescos in 5 minutes! It was grand!

Unfortunately, I missed my bus by one minute. I knew I missed it because I check real time bus time information (www.cambridgeshirebus.info)and the next bus was in 30 minutes. It was not terrible, as I just nipped to the pub across the street and tried out a strawberry cider...not bad.

Overall, I enjoyed my bus journey and would recommend it to anyone who does not want to deal with driving and parking. For more information on bus information in Cambridgeshire, see Cambridgeshire County Council Bus Information
