Who would have thought my cycle training as a child was not enough! I soon discovered I needed more help when I went onto a Cambridge road! So with prompting from Gary I signed up for a Bikeability cycle training session and my first lesson was scheduled.

It was a bit chilly and it was Friday; I was worried about being tested on my cycling skills. I had a cup of tea, put on my lucky red helmet and then made my way to meet my Cambridgeshire County Council cycle instructor, John Stanley.

Starting out, I thought I would be considered a
