Not everyone that works in Cambridge live in Cambridge and many do live afar. Taking the train is a great way to commute to Cambridge with ease, speed and convenience. This page is full of information on train service, discounts and links to timetables

For those commuters who regularly use the train to travel to work in the TP+ area discounted season tickets are available for travel from First Capital Connect and National Express East Anglia.

Train Discounts

The TP+ Employers are members of the Travel for Work Partnership, which mean staff in the TP+ area qualify for train discounts. Check out what is available and see if anything catches your eye.

Season tickets may be purchased for valid travel from any National Express East Anglia or selected First Capital Connect stations (North of Potter Bar) to Cambridge, Huntingdon or Ely stations only.

Updates to the Train Discount Scheme
You may be aware that from 5th February 2012, the National Express East Anglia franchise ceased to operate. As a result, Greater Anglia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Abellio, took over the franchise with effect from 5th February 2012.

Greater Anglia are pleased to advise that it is business as usual and they, as well as First Capital Connect, will provide employees of all full members of TfW Partnership a special discounted rate of 10% on season tickets and other period tickets purchased for travel to work by train.

Greater Anglia (previously National Express) office at Colchester shall remain your point of contact for ordering tickets and enquiries including First Capital Connect tickets. Contact numbers remain the same, 0845 600 7245, option 3 then option 2. There is no on-line booking facility with Greater Anglia at present, however, for your information the website address is www.greateranglia.co.uk On-line booking is available for First Capital Connect customers and the on-line code is available from your employer or TfW 01223 715550.
