Three different types of electric assisted cargo bikes (Butchers & Bicycle, Maderna Truck and Bakfiets) are available to hire when they are not being used by Outspoken Delivery (late afternoons, evenings and weekends). So, why not hire one for a delivery, a trip out with young children or to pick up that large parcel from across town!

Cargo bike hire with Outspoken costs £15 for 3 hours or £20 for the day. Prior to hiring a cargo bike, users will need to complete a one-off 2 hour training course at £50 to familiarise yourselves with the cargo bike. For more information see here

City Deal Western Orbital Consultation

29/2/2016

Picture
The Greater Cambridgeshire City Deal are consulting on its ideas for a 'Western Orbital' bus link to the south-west of Cambridge and would welcome your views until 21st of March 2016.

The consultation focuses on a new bus link between Trumpington and Madingley Road, Cambridge (between junction 11 and junction 13 of the M11) and new Park and Ride sites as well as proposed cycling improvement. The orbital bus link would connect new developments and major employment sites (Trumpington Meadows, West and North West Cambridge, Addenbrookes and the Bio Medical Campus) and provides onwards bus links to Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge Business Park and the future North Cambridge Rail Station. The orbital route would also connect the Busway at Trumpington to Orchard Park via the new developments in North West Cambridge.

The aim of the orbital bus and cycling link is to encourage sustainable travel and offer an alternative to having to travel through Cambridge City Centre.

More details can be found on the City Deal website here including details on a number of drop in exhibitions.
