This summer, travel the South and East of England with up to four kids (aged 5-15) on Southern, Southeastern, Thameslink, Great Northern and Greater Anglia routes - and pay either £1 or £2 for each of their tickets. Plus, kids under 5 travel free. Book these cheap tickets on the app or website, and either use etickets on your phone, or pick them up from the station with as little as 10 minutes before departure. The offer price depends on the train operator and applies to Off-Peak tickets - which generally means travel after about 09:30, and weekends too. When you make a valid search with children added, the app or website will add the £1 or £2 automatically. Please visit here.

A grace period has been set for the first three weeks, in which warning notice will be issued – this is to allow drivers to get used to the new layout. The warning notice period will be ending on 31 July. To find out more about bus gates click here.
A study is underway to identify potential traffic improvements and scheme developments for March. It will look at addressing existing traffic flow problems and develop options to allow for future growth in the area. Have your say by providing your comments on the interactive map.

These works are part of the East Coast Upgrade project replacing track, signalling and overhead line equipment. For more information see here and also how the works may affect your journeyhere. Work is due to start on creating the UK’s first Dutch-style roundabout in September – and it’s going to be in Cambridge! It will take 29 weeks (seven months) for the work to be completed, and the roundabout layout for the Fendon Road, Queen Edith’s Way and Mowbray Road junction will be transformed to influence slower approach and departure speeds, thereby reducing the speed of motor vehicles making it safer for cyclists and pedestrians.
Cyclists will be given their own cycle path, in contrasting red surfacing, to give them equal priority with pedestrians over oncoming motorists, and pedestrians will be provided with zebra crossings on all four entry and exit roads and at crossing points over the cycle paths.
