Work is set to start on two new city cycle schemes and further extend the cycling network in Cambridge. The schemes form part of a wider cross-city cycling project, funded by the Greater Cambridge City Deal, to bridge gaps in the city’s cycle network. The project consists of five separate schemes in the north, east and south of the city, bridging gaps in the existing network as well as to shops, schools and employment sites. The five cross city cycling projects are: Links to Cambridge North Rail Station and the Science Park; Hills Road and Addenbrooke’s Route; Ditton Lane and links to East Cambridge; Arbury Road; and Fulbourn/Cherry Hinton Eastern Access.
